Send article to a colleagueViral and branded content agency GoViral has appointed Luke Aviet as its first U.K. managing director. Aviet will be responsible for the firm's U.K. operation, which includes work for clients such as MTV and Snickers.
Dominic Cameron, ITV's stand-in replacement for Annelies van den Belt, who left in April, has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis. Cameron will leave his current job as director of innovation at Lastminute.com, but will retain a non-executive advisory role with the site he helped co-found.
Microsoft has appointed Ashley Highfield to the position of Managing Director and VP of its recently established U.K. Consumer and Online division. Highfield joins Microsoft from Kangaroo, the on-demand video joint venture between BBC Worldwide, ITV and Channel 4, which he joined as CEO in June. He will now be responsible for growing Microsoft's online ad operations, as well as sales, marketing, programming, business development and operations for Windows, Windows Mobile, Windows Live, MSN, and Live Search within the U.K.
